Volunteers are part of our Life Enrichment Department Team and we are looking for dynamic individuals who are willing to make a firm commitment of their time and talents to a wide variety of opportunities.
From there, I will contact you to schedule an interview; this will be an opportunity for us to meet in person to discuss what your volunteer needs are, what your availabilities are and to view your opportunities for current programs and events.
What you will need before your first volunteer visit:
Youth under 14 years are to be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is a vetted Finlandia Village Volunteer
Youth 14-17years will be provided with a Parent/Guardian Agreement form for parent/guardian approval
You will be asked to provide the names of two (2) non-family references

Once the required documents are submitted and your Village Volunteer orientation is complete, we will proceed with a tour of the facility, introductions to residents, to staff and fellow volunteers as well as a job shadow for your first volunteer visit.

Testimonials
“Taking the residents on a trip around the world (Arm Chair Travel Program) or socializing with them at their dances/outings is very fulfilling. Volunteering for me is best described by my husband when I arrive home and he says, ‘I don’t know who has more fun … you or them.”

Volunteer, Finlandia Village
“Volunteering at Finlandia has become such an important part of my life. Just sharing time and conversation with the Residents is, with out a doubt, the most rewarding feeling. The smiles, the giggles and the handshakes make every visit one of the very best. Volunteering is something everyone should experience in their lifetime.”
